CATALYST is an overnight event packed with great food, fun, and biblical teaching over what students believe and why! It’ll be a time for students to hang out, relax, and connect with other students, as they start back to school after fall break.

BASIC DETAILS:

  • STARTS: Friday, October 18, at 6:30 p.m.
  • ENDS: Saturday, October 19, at 7:00 p.m. (overnight)
  • WHERE: GracePoint Church
  • WHAT: Catalyst is an overnight event designed for students grades 6-12 who desire to grow in their spiritual journey with Jesus, to be able to articulate what they believe and why, and to become firmly grounded in their faith, while navigating the "rough times" in life.  There'll be worship, small group sessions, messy games, scavenger hunt in the neighborhood around the church… 
  • MEALS:  
    • Friday, 10/18 - snacks & s'mores provided (students should eat dinner before coming). 
    • Saturday, 10/19 - three meals provided - breakfast, lunch, and dinner - plus snacks.

REGISTRATION INFO:

  • REGISTRATION FEE: $20 (scholarships available - see Pastor Peter).
  • DEADLINE: To ensure your t-shirt size, register by Wednesday, October 9.  Final Deadline: Oct. 13.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Sleeping bag & pillow (inflatable mattress optional)
  • Basic toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.) 
  • Change of clothes (for after messy games) 
  • Slippahs (during messy games) 
  • Socks & Shoes (for long walks during Scavenger Hunt) 
  • Water bottle (refilling stations available)
  • Bible
  • Smartphone w/Goosechase app (optional) + charger. 

Special Notes:

  • SIGN-UPS TO HELP WITH MEALS: If anyone is interested in helping provide food for meals during Catalyst, they can sign up at this online Sign-Up List.  This is OPTIONAL and not required for students to attend the event but rather an opportunity for those who are interested in helping with meals. 
  • The Scavenger Hunt on Saturday afternoon (10/19) will take students off-campus, accompanied by adult leaders, within walking distance of the church.
